What we want you to know about Tim: (He is much too humble to tell you himself.)
Before Tim became a member of the Board of Directors for Family Guidance, he had previously served as a mentor to a little boy named Tyler. His Mentoring Supervisor describes Tim as “a safe place to land” for this youngster from a pretty dysfunctional family. In the midst of the chaos, Tim was mild-mannered and soft-spoken, but not afraid to speak to the boy’s hurting places and let him know that God cared about him and knew his tender heart. His Supervisor summed him up as “one of those who ‘got it’.” She meant that he was great mentor – accepting the situation Tyler was in, not trying to solve problems, just walking alongside him as a true friend until Tyler’s grandmother eventually moved him out of state. “I can’t say enough about Tim,” she continued. “I wish all my mentors were just like him.”
