A Recipe for Smiles
Jen, a committed mentor, faithfully and prayerfully gives of her time each week to G.R.O.W. (Gain. Realize. Overcome. Win) at a partner site location.
This past week, Jen and her young mentee engaged in a new activity by baking together. The young girl delighted in her accomplishment and put a smile on the staff’s face by sharing her freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with everyone she met!
These cookies were extra special because they were baked with care by this first time baker who loved the act of sharing her cookies! And all we have to say is…Eat n Park has nothing on the smile cookies made by these two, and the bond that they share that is changing the life of a young girl.
This on-site program allows mentors to bring hope and a future to children and youth of The Bradley Center, a residential treatment facility and school that helps children overcome trauma of their past. Your gifts help Family Guidance to continue to offer that hope.
