Are you interested in volunteering to become a Mentor?
If you have a heart for children, Family Guidance has a waiting list of more than 200 children who would love a mentor. These children are mostly boys, ages 8-14, and live in predominantly single-parent families. We have a need for men and women of all ages to become mentors.
Characteristics of a Mentor
Reliable – Trustworthy, honest, consistent.
Teachable – Open to instruction – knowing we always have something to learn.
Consistent – Constantly adhering to the same principles.
Patient – Having the capacity for loving endurance.
Open – Willing to walk alongside and not try to change.
