Why Promise Camp?
The Promise Camp Story
For more than 30 years, Promise Camp has been providing a quality summer experience for Pittsburgh area kids. Accredited by the American Camp Association, Promise Camp is located 25 miles outside the City of Pittsburgh in Clinton, PA. Each year hundreds of children, ages 7-17, learn about the promise of Jesus Christ while experiencing a variety of activities and making lasting friendships.
Promise Camp Grounds
Promise Camp’s inside facilities include an activity center for large group meetings, worship, crafts, and games. The new dining hall, situated across the lawn, provides delicious meals and snacks. Outside kids can enjoy the rock climbing wall, covered basketball court, and a large inground swimming pool. In the woods kids can team up for the ropes and challenge courses, take nature walks, and even pick berries.
Promise Camp Staff
Our ACA-accredited camp is led by director Jennifer Engel. The staff is made up primarily of high school and college students who have been thoughtfully interviewed, evaluated and trained for their positions. All of the staff, including our trained lifeguards have passed various clearances and background checks.

Safety and Supervision
Safety is high priority for our staff. The pool is supervised by highly-qualified lifeguards with required American Red Cross life-saving certification, CPR, and First Aid. If needed, the Heritage Valley Hospital in sewickley is located 30 minutes away. Parents/guardians or, if necessary, emergency contacts are notified immediately in case of an emergency. The safety and well-being of the children and youth entrusted to us are top priorities!
